200 Years Ago

Life 200 years ago is very different from the way we live now. There was no electricity, gas, phones or even cookers. You had to use fires to cook. For traveling their was no trains or boat, They used horses and wagons. Now a days we have lots of food choices, but back then they only ate fruits and vegetables. For clothes people used yarn and wool from sheep and other animals. They made them using the spinning wheel which was made of wood from trees. Wood was also used to build their houses and for making a fire. Childhood was also very different back then even children had to work. Learning how to read and write was taught in a simple one room schoolhouse. Where there was one teacher and she could be as young as 14 and 15 years old. Jobs were very limited back in the 1800's. People worked as farmers, wood workers and teacher, both women and men worked those jobs People communicated by water bottles which had letters and was either thrown in the sea or given to a bird which was trained to deliver letters. Thank God I lived at this team not in the 1800's, because there was no technology back then.
